A Scottish Air (The Rowan Tree) is a Scottish song with lyrics written by Perthshire-born Carolina Oliphant (Lady Nairne), 1766-1845, who was a song writer and collector of Scottish songs. The origin of the tune is unknown and first appeared in R.A. Smith’s Scottish Minstrel (1822).
